Fire Rated Doors

Fire Rated Doors

Fire Rated Doors are a critical component of passive fire protection, engineered to contain flames, smoke, and heat, thereby preserving escape routes and minimizing property damage. Constructed from heavy-gauge steel or solid timber cores with intumescent seals and fire-resistant glazing, these doors are rigorously tested and certified for 30, 60, 90, or 120 minutes of fire resistance (FD30–FD120) in accordance with UL, BS 476, and EN standards. They are equipped with automatic self-closing mechanisms, electromagnetic hold-open devices, and smoke seals that activate instantly when linked fire alarm signals are triggered. Regular inspection, maintenance, and documentation are essential to maintain certification and ensure reliable performance throughout the life of the building.
